Jorge Amigo Castañeda

Vice-President of the International Institute of Intellectual Property (IIPI). Previously he was Advisor to the Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Federal District. From 1993 to 2011 he was General Director of the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI). At the Ministry of Commerce and Industrial Development (SECOFI), from 1984 to 1993 he was the General Director of Technological Development and General Director of Foreign Investments. In the same unit, he served as Technical Secretary of the National Commission on Foreign Investments, Economic Evaluation Director and Deputy Director of Project Analysis and Evaluation. In the private sector, he has collaborated with Laboratorios Columbia Comercial as an external advisor. He has been advisor of Servaux Bleu, Elías Calles Abogados, and of the School of International Relations of the Universidad Anáhuac México Norte. Likewise, he is the Owner Partner and General Director of Amigo y Amigo Consultores, S.C. He was previously Menite Metal de México General Manager, Jeffrey Manufacturera Mexicana Marketing and Advertising Manager, as well as Banco de Comercio manager. As an academic, he has taught at the Universidad Anáhuac and the University of the Americas.
